On account of its size, this small, but exclusive ship from the Jaz hotel chain has become a rarity on the Nile. On board, you will experience your cruise on Egypt’s lifeline far more intensively, but also enjoy more peace and comfort than on large cruise ships. There is arguably no more pleasant a way to gain such a full impression of the Land of the Pharaohs and its key sights than from your floating hotel on the river, collecting wonderful experiences on your passage. Enjoy the very special flair on board, a significant part of which is owed to the attentive personal service provided by the crew.

Temples are many in Egypt, but nowhere are they as large and massive as in Abu Simbel. Even from a distance, you can see the giant statues of the temples that Pharaoh Ramses had carved out of the rock more than 3,000 years ago. 50 years ago they were moved to their present position by the Hochtief company so that they could not be flooded by the damming of Lake Nasser. Four seated monumental statues of Ramses II guard the large temple, which was dedicated to the main gods of the Egyptian Empire, the god Ptah of Memphis, the god Amun-Re of Thebes and the god Re-Harachte of Heliopolis. The smaller temple was dedicated to the wife of Ramses the Great, Queen Nefertari.
