The fact that Uruguay is also called the "Switzerland of South America" has less to do with its geography than with its millionaire density. Strolling through the old town, admiring the monuments and mausoleums on the Plaza Independencia, buying fruit and vegetables at the Mercado Agricola or fresh seafood at the Mercado del Puerto - Montevideo makes it easy to feel good.

São Francisco do Sul inspires its guests with its more than 500 years of history, which is still reflected in the historic city center. During an excursion to Blumenau and Joinville you will follow the traces of German immigrants who sought (and found) their fortune many years ago.

Paranaguá was founded as early as the 17th century, when rumors of gold in the region began to circulate. The many fortune seekers who subsequently emigrated to Paranaguá are still evidenced by the well-preserved 17th and 18th century buildings in the historic center of town. Visit the bustling market hall and the former Jesuit school across the street, which now houses the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology.

Headlong into an unforgettable adventure we plunge on Ilha Grande. The former pirate and prison island has a turbulent past behind it. In the meantime, however, it attracts not so much feared pirates as welcome sailors. 22 official and almost 100 unofficial dream beaches are 122 good reasons for this. Particularly beautiful is Praia de Lopes Mendes, where you should definitely not only lie on the beach, but also explore the surrounding nature of the jungle, which is difficult to access, on a hike.
