Past and present go hand in hand; historical parts alternate with modern architecture. The city, situated on a ridge on the banks of the Waal, has exerted a great attraction on people for centuries. Once upon a time, these mills were used to grind the grain needed for the production of Jenever. Take a walk with us through the "City of Jenever" which was founded at the beginning of the 13th century and dedicated itself to distilling schnapps in the 16th century.
