We travel by plane from Paranaguá to Foz do Iguaçu. This small, bustling town is situated at the confl uence of the Iguaçu and Paraná rivers, close to the border between Brazil and Argentina, and is commonly regarded as the gateway to the majestic Iguaçu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will bring you so close to this natural spectacle that you will need a rain jacket to protect yourself from the constant water spray.
You will have plenty of time to visit Iguaçu National Park from Argentina and walk very close between the individual waterfalls on the upper and lower circular trails. The Ecological Jungle train will also drop you off for a walk to the spectacular Devil’s Gorge vantage point. We explore the falls from the Brazilian side. Our 1.5-kilometre hike leads us past breathtaking views over various impressive cascades including the Devil’s Throat and the Two Sisters.
